Joe Marino fired his first rounds at six years old. At eight, his grandfather handed him a Ruger .22 carbine on Christmas morning — along with the standard Joe still teaches by: respect the firearm, or don’t pick it up.
Four decades later, that’s still the bar. He built his defensive training under retired and active military and law-enforcement instructors, and now teaches civilians what actually holds up when seconds matter — not range tricks. He’s also spent 40 years coaching athletes, which is why his classes feel different: Joe knows how to teach a skill, not just perform one.
